Orientations of scientific research:

Department of Pathological physiology studies pathogenesis and works out experimental therapy of terminal and postresuscitation states caused by acute blood loss, hemorrhagic hypotension and skull injury:

• mechanisms of circulatory insufficiency progress;
• functional, metabolic and structural aspects of cardiac lesion;
• adrenergic and cholinergic reactivity of cardiovascular system;
• compensation and decompensation mechanisms in hemorrhagic hypotension;
• pathogenesis of postresuscitation endotoxemias and working out of efferent therapy methods;
• pathogenesis of hemostatic failures in the postresuscitation period;
• pathophysiological aspects of brain bioenergetics failure and membrane destruction in skull injury;
• pathogenesis substantiation of antioxidants, antihypoxants, membrane protectors, alpha-and beta-adrenergic receptors blockers, calcium antagonists,opioide peptides application in terminal and postresuscitation states.
